I've tried this with the Bullet, and it works...o.k. The only problem I can see is that you have to have tension in order for it to release. If you pull and there is no tension, it just pulls the rope down. I suppose it would release eventually, and may not even load the line that much when it does. It's certainly a cost effective means of getting the job done.
