Pelican Fest Canceled due to Tornado's and a State of Emergency

    Hello All,

The town of Windsor, Colorado – the location of Pelican Fest which was to take
place this weekend - was hit with a major tornado today.

Due to the damage and State of Emergency currently in the town of Windsor,
the Pelican Fest has been canceled.

We are investigating a possible move of this event to a lake in Wellington,

but can’t make a determination until tomorrow – as the tornado also passed by this area, and caused some damage.

Andy J will survey the damage at the lake tomorrow and we will decide
how to proceed once that decision is made.

Watch for an announcement mid-day tomorrow as to whether or not we will be able to move
the event, or have to cancel it.

While severe thunderstorms in this area are quite common, tornados are not common here at all,
so everyone here is in a bit of shock at the moment.

    More when we know more---

pretty scary, it passed by where I work in Fort Collins (HP) - we were told OVER AND OVER on the PA,

GET TO YOUR SAFETY AREA NOW - TORNADO IS IMMINENT.

VERY VERY freaky - the wind was blowing like mad, and after it was over - I have never seen clouds
like those that were to the north of where we were - and where it went.
