    You can buy my FT38.

But I'm going to warn you. It's not stock.

It's been lightened, the keel has been trimmed and it was tuned to ride at Cherry Creek. If it rides in Cherry Creek it will ride any where.

Just got back from Oz and several days of riding on the new FT40… First impression, Hmmmm….not sure I like this. You don’t think 2” will have much of an impact…well, let me tell you, it DOES! Timing, lift, quickness, launch angle, rotation…everything. I didn’t like it much…my tricks weren’t falling into place like I was used to. By the end of the second ride, made a few adjustments and started to work things out. By the time I left…I wanted to take it home with me. Unfortunately, Garry wouldn’t sell it to me because he had already had a list of customers in line...in short, I’m in line.

In the end, I was riding at 1.5 mph faster than I’ve ever ridden before (religiously rode at 23 mph for 2 years) on the FT40 vs FT38. My take…despite the 2”’ extra length, it’s has less drag. It never felt right in the handle until I bumped the speed up—when he told me how fast I was going, I couldn’t believe it. I rode about +1 more lift than normal for me (same wings front and back) on the FT40 vs FT38. I also ran about 1/8” quicker on the rear wing than normal (same wings front and back) on the FT40 vs FT38. Results were more air (felt and observed by boat…no frame count yet), slower and smoother rotations (I tend to over-rotate things when I really lay into them on FT38), nice smooth landings…landed over 20 tricks in a row in one run…in three different runs…wet dream for me. Could have been Karma, mojo, a really good day, the weather, the water, the TED’s…who knows. I reckon it the tbar played a major part. It was an incredible experience, best couple of runs toward the end that I’ve ever had in my life. Again, this is a personal experience from an average, every day rider. Your Mileage May Vary (YMMV).

DISCLAIMER: I’m not a pimp for FT, I’m not sponsored by FT, I don’t get any $$$ or discounts for promoting FT stuff, I don’t even have a FT T-Shirt…but I do reckon it’s good equipment.

If you’re in the market for a good used Tbar…I will have two for sale shortly and will post to classifieds once I get my Shiza sorted. Preview: 10 FT38, Black Anno (Geronimo), Shaved Keel, Excellent Condition; 11 FT 38 Black Anno (Geronimo), Stock, Excellent Condition. PM if interested.

    Peace…OUT!

That is good to hear! Sounds like Garry has been hard at work over there in Oz land - New front wing, rear wing, and Tbar! Does the new tbar look the same but longer? Or were there drastic changes made? Maybe someone can post a picture of it in the "Foil Porn" thread... We could use some new material to spank it to =)

I think you were riding my t-bar!!! I hope you didn't break it!!! J/K...

Garry said you liked the setup.... He's hoping to ship everything out to me on Monday.

Sounds like the new rear wing was put on hold for now.... He couldn't get it riding better than the previous wing, so he's sticking with that wing. He mentioned that he's making a larger version of that rear wing also, that's slightly wider, and has deeper cutouts. He said that quickens it up a bit...

When I talked to him a few months ago he mentioned keeping his keel... From OzFabs pic it looks the same. Did he CNC the top to save some weight? I know.... Gary's idea of saving weight is to use the head before you ride!

No drastic changes...looks essentially the same but longer. Without going into great detail, he's modified the strut profile on the lower 1/2 of the bar...especially down towards the fuselage. Don't have a picture to post...I know there are a few inbound in the next couple weeks...whoever takes first delivery needs to post the porn.

I tried to talk him out of your tbar, but he wouldn't let it go. You've got a sweet ride on the way--enjoy!

Keel is still intact. The bar I rode was not CNC'd @ the top to shave weight, nor do I think he's going to do that. Don't know what it weighs in at...but it was smooth all-around.

O.K here's some pics of my new Foiltech 40" setup. I love this thing, Big, Easy, Air that's it. Then greatest setup (I have rideen anyway) ever. I'm also running the usual FT rear wing because I love the way the new TBar and Front Wing ride with it.Click image for larger version.
