I started working on air fronts at Havasu last month. This is a great trick.

Love it! I find throwing an insideout front, right before I throw an air front, will remind me how much more shoulder it takes in the flats. Good work! Kick A video too.

Nice job. I landed a few inside out fronts at PI for new trick day and caught a rope on my Cobra on my last attempt. Few months ago I tried an offside and let go with the wrong hand (muscle memory) and caught the rope in the Viper. In conclusion... Bad things happen for me with new fronts.

Looks like you were throwing them way out in the flats Greg. Was that on purpose or just the way it happened?

I was thinking of throwing some right after the second wake so its similar to a wake front. Thoughts?

Eric where I did the front was just where I took off. It was the bling leading the blind out there. I have landed 6 now and the closer I do them to the wake the more line tension and more pop and easier to get around.

I have other video I will get posted up and you can see my take off spot.

I usually throw mine a little past the wake - not even air roll territory, but not in the trough either. The key is you have to throw them in the direction you are going. Do not square up with the boat and try to throw them the same direction the boat is going. So basically you are going to throw them just like you were throwing a wake front - the boat will pull you "straight" in the air, which means leaning more against the rope on takeoff is a good thing. They are fun - still not even half as big as Thayers, but my goal is to get somewhere close.

Cudos for taking the hard route! Why beat your self up? Crawl walk run! Use the second wake, keep an edge. Your thinking what? Cut thru the 1st wake take off, off the top of the 2nd wake on edge. (don't square up with the boat!) Easiest way to start doing air fronts. Use your feet for rotation. The wider you go (further in the flats) the more you have to use your feet for rotation. Make sense?
