Oh boy... I have had my fair share. Use to happen a lot before we started using d ring to swap ropes out. The buttons last a lot longer and no false ring sets using d ring. . Most painful are the fronts. With no line tension to complete the rotation.

I hear ya. I'm pretty sure this was a fluke. I hope so anyways. I too use a carabiner. And I have it set to 700. I popped it at 600. I can pop it at 500 at will. I was popping the handle quite a bit for a few months. I thought my hands were not up to the task but I switched handles and it hasn't happened since. My 600 pin in the bullet is only good for maybe 20 sets before it fails. But it usually fails when I try to ride out of a hole. Usually. So I think some 750 pins are going to be in the mail soon. I don't have to ride the bullet often as Mark and John also have comptechs but it's nice to have and now that I have a fly high I will use the bullet for those that don't want to run up top.

I popped mine at 600 a few times on take off on Fronts flying upside down with no line tension is no fun. Glad it only happens a few times a year.

"OHHH NOOOO WE DID IT AGAIN!!!" I about pissed myself laughing, dude how many failures does it take before you are sitting on the swim step strapping in and ask for the SECOND time, "dude did you dial the release back up" I mean hey your in AZ not Colorado the memory should be good.

On another note a buddy of mine coined a phrase for this situation that makes me laugh almost as hard as the video "I launched a huge roll and the release cut loose and there I was FREELANCING" Feel free to use it...
