I'm looking to upgrade this spring and wonder which ski you all would recommend? I've been riding my SS Pro for about four years now and it's time to move up.

Both will be an upgrade from the SS Pro so buy whatever one you can get the best deal on.
I agree, both will be a significant step up from your current rid. However, I’ve ridden both of the wings you mentioned and there are some differences. I’m my personal opinion, the launch is a much more forgiving wing on landings, and is one of the most consistent wings I’ve ridden. Love it. The Z Best I’ve found is much more prone to suck-down issues and suffers once the water starts to cool down. Both are great options, but I’ve found the launch has suited me better. At the end of the day, all personal preference!
Scott I may have a solution for you. I have an old B39 with a shock tower that's become a garage ornament. You could actually ride it before purchasing. I'll get it down this weekend and send some pics if you're interested.
My upgrade process went something like yours...SkySki Pro, then B39, then NEXT Tbar, Then Foiltech, then AC MV40. I think that I was upgrading, or making a lateral move every year. Multiple sets of wings. I suspect you suggested those 2 possibilities because they would be in your price range, but depending on your mentality and pocketbook, you could consider just buying the whole enchilada at once.
In my case, I enjoy each change and it has been fun. And my office of budgetary expenditures would have freaked if I dropped $5000 all at once on a chair, so it necessitated a slow upgrade.
Hi Kerry,
Yeah I'd like to see it if you could send some pics and more info about it.
Thanks!
Scott,
Here's some picture of it. It's an early B39 (now Launch). It is the factory welded version. Shock Tower, original rear wing, front is a Raptor if I remember right, with Sharkhide coating. Cinch belt, MM bindings, MM cover. I already have some interest in this sky, but since I live the in middle of nowhere I'm not interested in traveling to package and ship it. Local pick up only. Pretty sure I still have the rear wing adapter/slider around here for newer wings. $2300
